A hundred years ago, back in 2005, I was a lone social media pioneer on the vast Arkansas frontier. Well, I wasn’t really, but it felt like it. There were other local bloggers, but I didn’t know most of them, except as wisps of smoke on the horizon. We weren’t neighbors. Then twitter caught on, and changed all that. Today, I consider myself part of a vibrant online community that is connected both virtually and geographically.
Let me tell you, these are some great neighbors to have. They show up for baby showers and for fund raisers. They show up for book launches. One of them frequently shows up with cookies, and today, a bunch of us showed up for a sneak peek at Sweet Love Bakes, her soon-to-be-open bake shop.
In the words of one seven-year-old reviewer, “This place is YUM.” If you live nearby, I hope you’ll get out for the grand opening January 13. If you don’t, I hope you have great neighbors like mine.

Thanks for stopping by today, I appreciate all the support I can get. You captured some lovely images (plus, you got photographic proof that I don’t hate all kids.)
What?? Is this even a rumor? Seemed like kid heaven to me!
It’s true! Kelli was smiley and gracious and did not once yell at those short, wild banchees running around her new shop.
It was all very lovely!
Brad and I don’t want any kids. Because of this, everyone thinks I hate kids. (Mostly because I kind of don’t like kids). Strike that, I like some specific kids. Does that make sense?
