A (sort-of ) weekly review of what’s been nourishing me lately.

Here are some of the good things I took in this week:

A date night at our favorite sushi place.

Some rare one-on-one time with the Littlest Who, while big brothers were camping.

Dinner with my soulsister, Lennie. (Why, yes, she is single. Send non-refundable $1000 application fee, bank statements, Nobel Prize documents or TED videos and exhaustive background check to me.)

Coffee with this lovely artist. Expect to read more here soon about her work.

This book on my Kindle Fire. My 13 year-old is counting down the days to the movie, so I thought I’d better get up to speed. It’s violent and dark, but my favorite novels at his age were the Boys From Brazil  and Trinity. I think we crave tales of heroism in the face of savagery at that age. Also, it makes me happy that he digs girls like Katniss.

Speaking of heroes and savages, I think this post by Brittany Gibbons is exceptional.

I hope your weekend brings you many more good things.

p.s. If you haven’t seen it already, I’m the lucky subject of one of Gretchen Rubin’s Happiness Interviews this week. Please check it out and spend some time getting to know all about the Happiness Project.
