Friday Video: Contest

April 1st, 2011

Tee-Gee-Eye to the freaking Eff. What a week. Things have been super stressful on the home front, thanks to one very large chicken that is refusing to hatch, and my usual optimism has been close to maxed out. Just when I didn’t think it could get any worse, one of the kids opened his car door a little too enthusiastically and left a little of our green car paint on someone’s shiny white car paint in the supermarket parking lot. I left a note and my number and am praying that all the times I’ve shrugged off dings and dents to my car will come back to me. We’ll see.

But today, I am back to my Pollyanna old self. Mostly because my mom arrives for her annual visit today. Partly because a shipment of my books was on my doorstep when I came home yesterday. The real book, in hardcover! It’s an incredible feeling to hold that in my hands.

I’ve got a couple to spare, so I’m giving away a signed copy here, as a prize to the person who can come up with the best subtitle/caption for this video. I posted a rough version of it to Facebook earlier in the week, and a few people spontaneously offered a couple of great ones, so the bar has been raised. Watch the clip, and leave your idea in the comments section. I’ll announce my favorite this time next week. Have fun!
