The Yes Mom’s Adventure to Fitness

August 1st, 2013

This edition of The Yes Mom is kindly sponsored by Adventure to Fitness, an interactive fitness program inspiring kids to lead healthy lifestyles through imagination, education, and movement.

Yes, we can go hiking.

Yes, you can lead the way on the trail.

Yes, I will follow you on a very steep detour to the summit over a landslide of boulders.

Yes, I will follow you, if I have to go on all fours to do it. Oh, yes, I do have to.

No, I cannot look behind us just now. Until we get to the top, I’ll take your word that it is spectacular.

Yes, you were right. It’s amazing. And so are you.

Yes, I believe you could go down the same way we came up, no problem. Let’s go down the other way. Just to switch things up.

Yes, I agree you might be part mountain lion. I think I must be part box turtle.

About the sponsor, Adventure to Fitness

Adventure to Fitness is a health and fitness program that provides an alternate way for young kids  to get active when the great outdoors is not so great (like the 110 degree weather we were having this time last year). Their video-based, interactive program is widely used in elementary schools, and they are launching a home version. Our summer has been exceptionally mild, and we are carping the diem out of it, but I’m glad to pass along a resource that can keep kids moving through the dog days. I hope you’re inspired to say yes to your own family fitness adventure!

I love this. Laughed and then teared up at the end. Hands and knees and an amazing view: isn’t that parenting, every single day? 🙂

Terrific! I love the picture of you and little bit–especially the “angel” on your left shoulder!! Hahahahaha. Keep moving.
